Coach Hayden joined as a parent volunteer coach in 2018. He is currently serves as the President of Fairport Rugby Club. Mark started his rugby career at the University at Albany in 1989 after playing football his freshman year. In both his junior and senior seasons, Mark started and played second row for the SUNY Albany rugby team that advanced to the national playoffs. After graduation from college, Mark attended law school at Albany Law School where he was captain/coach of the Albany Law School Rugby Club in his third year. During his law school years, Mark also played for the Albany Knickerbockers Rugby Club. Coach Hayden moved to Rochester in 1997 where he immediately joined the Rochester Aardvarks Rugby Club. He was an active playing member of the Club for nearly two decades. His highlights of his time with the Aardvarks included winning two division championships and was voted MVP of the Club in 2007. Professionally, Mark is an attorney with the law firm of Segar and Sciortino. His two sons are active members in the high school and flag rugby programs.
